چکیده

MOUSEFIELD A MouseField is a robust and versatile input device that can be used at almost any place for controlling information appliances. A MouseField consists of an ID recognizer and motion sensors that can detect an object and its movement after the object is placed on it. By placing an object with an RFID on a MouseField and sliding or rotating the object, a user can control various systems just like he can use a standard mouse for controlling standard PCs.

mCube - Towards a Versatile Gesture Input Device for Ubiquitous Computing Environments

We propose a novel versatile gesture input device called the mCube to support both desktop and hand-held interactions in ubiquitous computing environments. It allows for desktop interactions by moving the device on a planar surface, like a computer mouse. By lifting the device from the surface, users can seamlessly continue handheld interactions in the same application. Since mCube is a single ...

Ubi-finger: a Simple Gesture Input Device for Mobile and Ubiquitous Environment

We propose a novel interface in mobile environment called “Ubi-Finger” that realizes sensuous operations for PDAs and information appliances using gestures of fingers. In this paper, first, we propose the concept of Ubi-Finger. This concept enables users to sensuously control various devices in the real world. Since gestures are usual methods of nonverbal communications and enables sensuous ope...

Ubiquitous Chip: A Rule-Based I/O Control Device for Ubiquitous Computing

In this paper, we propose a new framework for ubiquitous computing by rule-based, event-driven I/O (input/output) control devices. Our approach is flexible and autonomous because it employs a behavior-description language based on ECA (Event, Condition, Action) rules with simple I/O control functions. We have implemented a prototype ubiquitous device with connectors and several sensors to show ...

Computing the additive degree-Kirchhoff index with the Laplacian matrix

For any simple connected undirected graph, it is well known that the Kirchhoff and multiplicative degree-Kirchhoff indices can be computed using the Laplacian matrix. We show that the same is true for the additive degree-Kirchhoff index and give a compact Matlab program that computes all three Kirchhoffian indices with the Laplacian matrix as the only input.

A Mobile and Fog-based Computing Method to Execute Smart Device Applications in a Secure Environment

With the rapid growth of smart device and Internet of things applications, the volume of communication and data in networks have increased. Due to the network lag and massive demands, centralized and traditional cloud computing architecture are not accountable to the high users' demands and not proper for execution of delay-sensitive and real time applications. To resolve these challenges, we p...
